A cap that you notice is a cap that is not doing its job. The point of a training cap is to stay on your head, keep sweat off your face, and otherwise disappear. Most of them do not manage it.
The Micro Active polyester moves heat away rather than holding it. Cotton absorbs moisture and holds it against the skin. On an outdoor session or a long track run, that heat build-up under the crown is what makes a cap come off. A fabric that moves heat away instead keeps the cap on. That is the primary design decision here, and the one that makes it useful rather than just present.
Five-panel construction removes the seam that runs over the crown on a standard six-panel cap, giving the front a cleaner profile. The front panel is structured to hold that silhouette through training and storage. A cap that collapses in a kit bag after two weeks is a cap on its way to the drawer.
The rear closure is a quick-release plastic clip with an elastic loop on one side. It adjusts in one movement and holds without slipping under pace or under any reasonable load. It sits flat against the head without creating a pressure point.
Machine washable. Cold gentle wash, drip dry. This matters more than it might appear on a piece that is in rotation several times a week.
One size, fits 54 to 62 cm. Made in South Africa. R359.
